Smarty setting for towing

I just downloaded the Revo software and have tried a couple of different settings but went back to Catcher #5 for daily driving. I have an auto tranny and am worried about towing on #5 but wondered what you all have been using. I don't tow a lot but on occasion up to about 10K lbs. Also, what overall combo's are you using to have the best daily performance and mpg's? Finally, I know the warning is there that for the stock auto tranny #3 is the top to use but has anybody really had problems running daily at #5 or higher with the auto? Obviously not trying to blow the tranny up just as an excuse to get a new one!

IF you're an easy driver that doesn't beat on the truck you can probably get away with running level 5 with the torque management set to 1.

Personally to be on the safe side I would drop it back down the level 3 when towing that much weight.

For the best fuel economy try levels 3 or 5, torque management 1 with the timing set to 4. Every truck seems to be different when it comes to the settings so experiment to find which works best for you.

I tow 16k on level 3 TM mild with the after market turbo program (with a stock turbo). It limits the boost to about 36-37lbs. I rarely need more power. The big limit is EGTs so higher levels don't help you anyway.

Yeah, I've noticed a big difference in EGT's between 3 and 5 but when towing I'm pretty easy on the truck. With diesel going back up I'm actually pretty easy on it most of the time! I tried a combo with the Revo package and ran a medium rail pressure and the economy mode and didn't like the way it ran so went to the 5 setting. Guess I just need to play with it more and see what is the best for this truck.

Thanks,
