Ok made a couple good pulls today and really liking the smarty. Me and my buddy both went down there to do some test and tune today and ended up being a couple other trucks being there for the test and tune that both of us were putting some good ditance on them put they were running 2.4 turbos. Both of us were consistantly putting it at 295 every pull. He also has weight rack and suspesnion blocks that I don't have. I will say if anybody is pulling with this there is no way to really control the rpms off the line. I tried feathering it out at 3000 but ended up giving to much throttle and staright to 4000. No big deal but something you could probably get used to. The 1st pull I did was in 4th low and pulled 3936Rpms the whole way down the track according to the edge juice monitor. Then all the other times I pulled 2nd high and carried 3676Rpms down the track. None of the time did it ever bog down and those sleds were heavy. We didn't come near close to winning the sanction pull though. Justin Edwards in the Black Crow truck, along with Jeff, Jahnsen, Tony imhoff, and about 4 other guys running monster p-pumps and 3.0 chargers showed up. All the guys running 2.6 chargers and under got some serious ground put on them. I could see where nobody would want to get out there in the crowd and pull with them guys. I mean they put on a show but come on they can make two different classes.

Another question I had I was running level nine and not seeing any smoke. Maybe a slight haze but thought it would smoke more than that pulling with my little 2.6 but did not. Egts did not ever go over 1600 but man the engine temp got up there. Given some puls we were pulling back to back. I think with this new tune on a light sled I might be able to go 5th low, I was pulling 2nd high and was spinning out bad and pulling 3700 Rpms. I was thinking maybe run 5th low see 3300 3400 get some more ground sped and bog down atthe end instead of digging some 6 inch ruts with these m/t's. The sleds we where pulling where way heavy too. 3.0 trucks were just barely getting 300ft when these trucks usually pull 375ft at most pulls. Then even with my stock pummp I was kinda glancingb at the RP gauge and leaving the line I was at 21,000psi, carrying the sled down the track I was at 17,000-18,000. Didn't think it would carry more pressur eon the track then on the street. When my new pump gets here it might be a different ball game. Then didn't break nothing all day then loading the truck up I slipped through the ramp on the trailer and broke the plastic peice off the bottom of my bumper. I just can't catch a break but would rather d that then snap other parts.

Turn down the TM to 2...and use a MP-8 or your Edge EZ to fine tune the rail up to 25k.

I could not use RP4...

Heck...I don't even use SW-9 anymore...7 is enough for me. ;-)
