Smarty or Preditor for an 03

I have had both the smarty and the predator on my truck. At one point I was thinking about changing over to ther smarty, so I used one of my friends to check it out. I was expecting the smarty to blow the predator out of the water, but much to my surprise it didn't. From the seat of my pants dyno, I thought they were quite equal. And for twice as much money as the predator I was convinced not to purchase the smarty. I guess it just depends on if you want to pay the extra money for the added customer service.

Come on Joel i cant believe you even had to ask. When you get back we will have to plug it in and let you see how hard the smarty bites. Ill trade a trial session with it for help on a mod CP3?

a few months ago i would have said get a pred{i have one}they do perform well on the 03-04s and guys that have had both the pred and the smarty for the 03-04s didnt notice much diference,the 04.5s and up are a diferent animal,diablos support has gone into the toilet and for that reason i woulld sugest a smarty,im on the fence about getting one,ive seen some in the classifieds here for a good deal and with our$ so high its even less whooo hooo.

Ive heard the same that the smarty is way better on the newer trucks but on the 03-04s the predator does very well. Thats why im wondering if its worth the extra money. But it seems that customer service might be the deciding factor!

03-04 Predator, I love my RKL tunes and its got great low end power especially with the puck on. If your truck was an 04.5 id go with the smarty but 03-04 trucks seems to love the predator. I havent ever tried the smarty but just research some of the topics on here.

I have tried the predator before. My truck seemed to stutter alot with it, so I took it off and sent it back. I have had no issues with the Smarty, the power is very linear and has a bit more top end. The turbo also spooled a bit quicker. And as the beta program keeps inching closer, with the recent news on the 230hp gains (on an 03), i think us Smarty owners are going to have an exhillarating ride ahead of us

No offence guys but a 230hp gain isnt that much on the 03-04. I have an 03 SO with sps 62, TST/EDGE STACK and a few other goodies and it put down a consistant 490. which by my calculations would be about a 300hp gain from stock 190 at the wheels....

With only one DL compared to your (sps 62, TST/EDGE STACK and a few other goodies), I beg to disagree. Enlighten me on what other SINGLE mod(in the Smarties price range, not injectors) that will match it's performance w/ proof.
