well i loaded it up last night... sw3, timing 4, tq 2. the timing rattle wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. seemed alittle laggy for to me. one thing i did notice was when my tranny locked the converter barked the turbo hard as hell. it does smoke alittle more on this setting- not so much a dark cloud, but a haze. i haze coming off the line, and it doesnt clear up till the higher rpms. around 2k i can blip the throttle and lay a nice little cloud. im going to have to mess with the settings alittle more. im think i may try the sw3 with the tq on 2, and the timing on whatever the default setting for sw3 is..

Any clearification on the timing order (lowest to highest) and the TM (lowest to highest)?

i understand the torque management... my timing question is- the defalut setting of 0 and the smarty standard setting on 2...

is that the default timing for whatever software level you are or is the smarty standard the correct timing for that software setting. for instance on sw3, if i wanted to run the original timing for that sw- would i set my timing to the default setting or the smarty standard?

alittle clarification please.

I loaded up:

SW#3
TM#2
Timing#2

Normal driving keeping up with traffic it is pretty clean, not much smoke at all. I’d say less than the original Jr software and maybe about the same as the beta.

With the stick shift if you come out of a corner in 4th at 1200 RPM and roll in to it you see a pretty good cloud that clears up shortly.

Form a dead stop if I let the clutch out then punch it a bit I get a pretty big puff, but it clears as the turbo spools.

I just downloaded Revo yesterday and the truck rolls the coal. Do I need to put the truck back to stock setting before loading the Revo? I already have SW #2 loaded into the truck. When I loaded Revo it just took me back to the main page of options/connect truck. It took 2 seconds instead of 5 min. I left a message for Bob to call me, but haven't heard back yet. If anybody knows if I have to go back to stock setting first please let me know.

I put mine back to stock before I loaded the Revo. Do the same and see how you make out.

I'm not sure what you mean by smarty standard. help me out.
If you're asking , are there different timing defaults for the 3 different sw's , then yes.
I believe that sw 1 has a default of timing 4, but I don't know what the other 2 sw's have for defaults.I would guess that sw 2 has less timing due to it being a towing sw.It would be nice for us to have plain english for all of Mads products.

i loaded program 1, timing 4, tm 4 and it smokes about like the original #1. maybe a little less on the bottom end. feels about the same, maybe a little weaker down low and hits the power band a little harder. butt dyno is hard to tell from the placebo effect. timing 4 tm 2 was very clean smoke wise. didnt get a good chance to romp on it to see what the power was like

im going to try the tq on 2 and the timing on maybe 0. i think 0 is the default or original timing for the sw you are running. as for my results thus far with tq at 2, and timing on 4. still hazes when im on the throttle. i can get her to roll a serious cloud when i lug her. but in normal traffic, if i get on her to pass she hazes. doesnt feel that different, i know the tranny is shifting strong i believe.

Downloaded Monday

Well I'm a simple guy and just run #1 straight up. Smooth, good low end and only a haze when gettin on it up to 2500rpm. I drive I-95 90 miles round trip mileage about the same as beta 4. Sometime I'll try 2 and 3 and maybe mix and match but might be too addicting.....
