Smarty Jr MPG ?'s
Just got my Smarty Jr. What is everyone's opinion on the best setting for MPG around town and then a highway trip every once in awhile. Tow a small trailer once in awhile and a 2 place snowmobile trailer in the winter. Thanks Pete

set it on sw3. the problem is going to be the teenage kid in you with the added power and throttle response. keeping your foot out of it is a learning curve and once you do that, the gains will come but not much
EDIT- scratch that unless you have tranny work. do sw2 timing 1 and be good

I've found SW1 and timing 1 to get about the best mileage.
I sometimes tow a light weight trailer - about 5,000# or so. Same setting feels good and gets the best mileage then, too.
Turning the PoD down didn't seem to change the mileage much. But I keep it at 70 when not towing to take some strain off the drive train.

Well I ran SW1 with the standard defaults on the trip to camp. I got 20mpg but the bed was full and the cab had 5 people. I ran SW2 TM2 and TQ4 on the way home and got 23mpg. I was seeing 26-27 for bit but the hills of PA kills that mileage !!!!!

It could be the tq management helping you on the bottom end.. But SW1 TM1 is stock other that tq management. SW1 TM1 TQ1 would be stock.

I can easily read 24+ on the overhead, never actually broken 20.

"With a stock auto I would run SW2 TM2 TQ4, if "
AH64ID...
I've currently been running SW2, TM4, TQ2. Seems to be plenty of power till the Garmon's goes in, and I am happy with the throttle response and driveability of the truck (she seems to really like this setting). However, if I were to "switch my seeting around" to TM 2, TQ4 what can I expect in changes? (effects to throttle response? smoke? etc...)
Not to concerned with MPG right now considering my daily commute is 15 miles roud-trip.
Thanks...

Have you run the tune yet? Any feedback on this one yet?
I can't remember what version I'm running, but I dowloaded it the day after Father's day (June 19th)
