Smarty Jr and mid range power

Smarty Jr and mid range power
I have version 5.08 and Im very happy with the lower range power and the smoke doesnt really bother me (cant speak for the drivers behind me though).
My question is for the very knowledgable people on here that have extensive experience with the Jr...I need more mid range power!
When Im at highway speeds, 50-70 mph, my truck seems to be lagging in power and smokes pretty bad when I give it partial pedal. It seems like the turbo is not lighting enough (8-10 lbs on the guage). Its fine when I give it alot of pedal and it down shifts, but it seems to be lacking midrange power.
My question....Has anybody tested all the settings and found one that provides good mid range power? I like the 5.08 version, but if it would benefit me to update to another version, then please let me know. Im happy with the low range, and I dont want to lose that, but like I said I would love more mid range. Thanks for any help.

SW2 tq2 tm4...If I remember correctly, ver5.08 had reversed tq settings. My tranny hates tq4.
Im just trying to get more mid range power, and the smoke doesnt bother me. Is there another setting I could try that someone else has had luck with?

Is that what you are running? How is it?
Does anybody have experience with the 5.08 version and now running the newest version? I know I have alot questions, but I want to make an educated decision, because I heard once you update, you cant go back.

If you have the 5.08 version file on your computer you can go back. If NOT you cannot go back.

I updated and I love it. I dont know if it is the "new shoes" syndrome, but it seems like the mid range power is there now. Seems like the turbo lights much quicker now.

Glad you like the new version, much better than the old one. TM4 makes smoke like you stated on my truck and I don't use it for that reason. But it's never been sluggish, could be the auto vs manual gearing thou.

Hey guys,
Feeling comfortable with my understanding of all SW settings and the TM settings. However, TQ management is still throwing me a little...
I am running the most current version (v21), and I daily drive in SW2, TQ2, TM4....
I'm just curious if the "TQ2" setting is giving me the best throttle response from a dead stop. I know at one point the TQ management was reversed...so I wasn't sure if TQ2 or TQ4 would give the best throttle response from the line.
Thanks!
