Smarty... injector, timing rattle?

I loaded the Smarty (mild TM, #5) about a week ago & really liking the performance & response. This diesel is actually fast now to pass on these country roads around here! Noticing a slight increase in the injector/timing rattle when it's idling. Is this common? Should I be concerned?

some trucks rattle when cold. do you have a tone ring mod, or rocktech sensor?

if it goes away when warm, just drive gently until it is completely warmed up. if it does it all the time, try the program for aftermarket injectors. see if it helps.

Mine does it as well....as long as you don't have any other timming device as mentioned above....it's fine....i was concerned when i first noticed it, but Bob W and Marco said no worries....

Nope, no other timing devices. Kind of reminds me of the older CAT 2 cycle engines... kind of like the symphony! It was different from stock and being new I was a little concerned.

Mine does it too. I like it because the stock timing seems too late and this sounds like something is happening. No worries. It's far less violent than a first gen.

Love the way runs. Nice immediate throttle response and lots of power.

Y'all should here it with the Rokktech sensor installed and some Power Service cetane booster in the tank. Sounds like the older 24v.
I have since removed the Rokktech.
