Usb drivers and bownloader worked fine and i uploaded the new software to my truck

Ihave a couple of questions about updating my smarty.
1. Do I need to set my truck back to stock before updating/
2. which files do need to download to update it?

Good Question. I did notice my truck runs even better and smoother and seems to have a little more power and more linear power band.

I downloaded the first night, no problems....the new downloads are for the new dodge software (AQ??)...and the three levels of TQ MGMT like th 03-5.5's have had available....I donwloaded the 2nd download (standard smarty TQ MGMT)....didnt notice any big differences...maybe a little smoother....anyone have any info on what the dodge software update did / changed????

My dealer said it was for smoke on startup/hard start. It was apparently a flash that was supposed to take care of all these issues (earlier flashes did not fix some trucks). Oh...and it also did something to the reset functions in the ECM...maybe Marco will chime in on that.

Are the updates free? I have been thinking about getting one, but haven't stepped into the hole yet.
