Question Smarty and fuel milage

Does anyone know if the Smarty will improve fuel milage? I've rumors of the Smarty jr comming soon but on the weekends I might like that extra hp to screw around with on the regular Smarty.

Only if you're easy on the throttle. Hotrodding around probably not.

I saw about 1.5 increase. That increase though is sensitive to which program you are running and which SW you have it on. That "best" program is not the same for every truck. For me, it was aftermarket turbo, stock injectors, mild TM on sw7. I did an awful lot of playing around with different programs to find the "sweet" spot for mileage.

I can't keep my foot out of it so I have no clue what my mileage is.

I run mine on sw5 with the stock program from smarty and mine jumped abaout 2 mpg. in town, and a little more on the hwy. but I only get into sometimes because I still have the trans stock for now. but when that changes. Hold on, it will probably drop.

I've seen a gain (hand calculated) of about 2mpg, from about 18.5 average to about 20.5 on my "typical" tank full which is 80-90% highway at 60mph. I use SW#3 and truck is a 2003 305/555.

I usually gain about 1.5-2mpg with the Smarty 60-90hp levels above just TST/EZ. That is with my daily drive tune setup. 14-15mpg all city and 19-20mpg all highway.

Smarty is the ONLY mod I have added that has increased fuel economy / mileage. I saw about 2mpgs overall.

I think once Marco revamps the pre 6.7 softwares with what he learned tuning the 6.7, the MPG will improve again.

I love my Smarty but can honestly say it did nothing for my fuel mileage. I've run standard and BETA software. I've got 19,500 miles on my pickup and have done multiple things to improve fuel mileage. If I baby it I get 16.5 hand calculated. The best I've ever done is 16.95. I drive Interstate to and from work 55mi each way at 70 MPH. The only thing I've found that improved my MPG is slowing down to 65MPH.
