smarty downloading problems

I have unzipped the CDM -2.00 file, downloaded the SmartyUSB file (all in a separate folder on my desk top), and downloaded the "Smt4V411AD411C47" file into the folder as well. Now, when opening the SmartyUSB file - and attempting to open a file to send - it's saying that the file is not a smarty file.
Also - I already linked the smarty programmer to my computer.
Any help I can get would be appreciated. Thank you!

I had the same problem, you need to unzip it so the program can see it.

Problems with the Smarty download

I did unzip the file - however, when I try to download it to the Smarty Program so that I can send it - nothing shows in the folder...any ideas?

I had to move it to another folder by itself. Then it loaded just fine.

The .7z file needs to be extracted to a .smt file using THIS SOFTWARE

http://7-zip.org just run the file for your operating sysytem.

Smile

The only way I can get it to work is to download the file I want and then make a new folder with the same name as the file I just downloaded and unzip the file into this new folder. Once it is unzipped it should have a .smt at the end of the file name. With the smarty usb go open this folder and that file and it works. If I name it some other way or don't do it in that order I have problems.

Smarty folder needs the USB, CDM, 7ZIp and SMT. Be sure to click on 7Zip and select run. Then right click on the smt file and select extract here.

hope this helps
