Noticed you qualified that with "most' , there seems to always be that bigger dog. At least for me anyway

Big Dan and all others moaning about 03-04's....

The limit is the CP-3...not the electronics. How much fuel do you need...TST alone can demand more than the pump can deliver.

The highest HP 3rd gen right now is an 03.

I agree, with the right mods ours can beat the newer ones, just not with stock parts. I'm currently getting higher hp #'s than the combined sum of all the power adders. Everything on mine seemd to be working very well togther. So good I'm a little leery of tinkering with anything. I just wish the BDPP didn't mess wth the TPS on performance and extreme. It's my biggest complaint. If not for the extremely sensitive throttle, I would never turn down the boxes at all. I really like the custom type fueling on this downloader but think I'll wait a bit on the Smarty till some have been out for awhile.

Like before thats great if you want 500+hp using, electronics, cp3 mods, turbos, fuel system, tranny, blah blah, blah.

I just want to use 1 quality safe box like the smarty and get the same results as guys with 04.5+

I know I can stack but spending another $600 to make up the missing HP doent apeal to me. I was hoping the smarty could provide more then the standard 130hp like every other box on the market.

I'm talking HP numbers 170hp vs 130hp not the other smarty features.

Hey Marco is there a way you can offer a future download to make up the 50hp difference????

And can somebody please tell me and explain why I, along with all the other non-600 Cummins guys get shafted once again in the exterme tunes again. 130vs170 and not tq. management disabler either. I can't see paying the price for one if I only get half the features as the '04.5+ guys.

Ya know what would really suck is paying $650 for a smarty and only getting 65 hp, why do the 2nd gen guys always get the shaft J/K
I didn't even get the smarty, I have the old catcher and it's still worth every penny

There has to be something you can do. I mean im greatful for this product but Im actually sad that im loosing out on an extra 50hp which is alot. Im seriously upset.

It seems like us 03,04 owners always get the shaft. There should be a giant disclaimer to potential 03,04 buyers, that our trucks are lame when it comes to aftermarket elecronics.
Some of us 04.5s and up really envy the extra 3mpg the 03 and 04's get too. Now who got shafted?

I'll take my smarty any way I can get it!

Yep, there is always gonna be someone who is just as crazy or crazier with the mods. I just want a nice reliable truck that can do anything....quickly. I can't wait to see the results with the twins, TST twins and 9/9. If I can get 65hp more than that with the SMARTY.... I'll be very happy. 130 I'd be certifiable. 200 and I would need a defibrilator. Remember it is not just the peak of the HP and Torque curves.....its the total area under it that get things done..... ks

Anyone know what the programs add? Where did you see the information about the 03's only getting 130hp? Is it pressure, timing, and duration?

Thanks.

It's very minimal pressure. Don't know about timing and duration. If the smarty for yall is anything like it is for us, I HIGHLY, STRONGLY, MOST DEFINATELY, URGE, ADVISE you to get it. It has been the single greatest add on I've done to my truck. It makes the driveability 100000000x better. The throttle response is second to none, the low end is just stupid, and all of the other little neat features are just awesome.

Seeing that the CP3 is the same for all CR trucks, that's not a very good argument.

I'm curious where it says that the 03-04 trucks don't get torque management delete. If that is true I'm more bummed about that than the lost HP.

My guess it's the turbo that's limiting the power on the 555 vs. the 600. The stock turbo isn't very efficient above 28psi from my understanding.
How long with the turbo survive pushing 130hp, not to mention the stock tranny or clutch.

Hey Streetsmoker,

As soon as I get ahold of mine, I will let yah play with it some. I might have to make you drive over here though. I had no idea Mississippi was more desolate that Alabama. I thought I was back in time in Bama, but when I got there, shew, it was another 10 years back.

All program will be same as vp cr half with timing and half with no timing.

The plan is to have smarty cr optimizied for a stack with the TST CR box for the ultimate combination.

I have to run more info soon.

This box is awesome
