SMARTY Boost #'s
I recently sold my X2 and am currently running sw#5 with after market turbo program. I was under the impression that the Aftermarket Turbo program disables the wastegate.....
While running the X2 stacker tune but OFF, and running SMARTY on 3 stock turbo, I was able to hit 42-44psi all the time when in it. Even with the X2 on lvl1 I could still hit 42psi on a regular basis....
Now I can only manage to see 36-39psi and I can hear my WG open to bleed off psi. It now sounds like my WG is working like normal when running stock turbo program but just a smig higher.....What's going on????
How do I get back my PSI????
I know that being above 38psi is conterproductive but I want to know where it went????

I am pretty sure it does not disable your wastegate, it provides for boost fooling. So you don't get a code at higher psi.
Go back to your stock turbo version and see if you get your psi back. If not, your x2 was the difference.

*The softwares for aftermarket turbos DISABLE the electronic wastegate as found in the 2004.5 and later engines. That allows you to run
any boost pressure (- with an aftermarket turbo! ) without setting codes thus defuelling. Those softwares do NOT need an external boost
fooler.
Why would Bob and Marco post information such as this if it is not true???? So I probably need to buy a Quad boost fooler then......????

OK if they said it then it does... They will not post info that is not true. I have an 04 with mechanical wastegate so not quite the same.
You do not have to buy a boost fooler; I am sure of that.

I honestly hope that they dont post false statements...they are both stand up guys. I was just looking around in the search forum and found a post that MArco made a while ago that kinda explains why I was seeing 42+psi....
I guess he builds modified boost tables in to the after market turbo program that still opens the WG when a certian Boost# is reached, but higher than stock. But when you use a boost fooler the ECM already see's lower boost #'s through fooling and then the actual boost #'s are higher. So in essence when using a BF in conjunction with any SMARTY program you will see higher boost #'s than with the SMARTY alone with any program with a stock turbo...
Here is a link to this post....Maybe some one can correct me if I am wrong. That would explain the higher boost #'s when running the X2, because it also BF even when off.....
Look at post #6....
