First off I have an 05 QC 4X4 with a goerend auto and 3.73 gears. The trip I took was 160 miles each way, on my way there with a 25 mph tailwind and cruise set on 60 the overhead showed 30.3 mpg. On the way home going into a 25 mph headwind the overhead showed 27.9 by the time I got home. Hand calculated 319.3 miles and 13.9 gallons of fuel gets me 22.97. I am pretty happy with that after all the wind on the way home. If I had filled up when I got there with the tailwind the whole time I bet I could have been around 25 mpg. Just thought I would let everyone know my results. This has been the first somewhat long highway trip unloaded where I didn't care how long it took to get there, I was just wanting to see what my mileage could be and I am very pleased.

Im glad everyone is seeing such good MPG with 4.4 cause im not seeing anything. Im seeing more tire smokage.

The only increase I saw was in the overhead. Mine consistently reads 20-21mpg when hand calced is 15-16mpg.

I do like all the other benefits of the 4.4 beta, but mileage was not one of them.

I drove it normally from stops and through some small towns I had to go through, but once I got up to speed the cruise was immediately set at 60. I didn't drive like a grandma, but I was trying to see how good it would do. I do have stock wheels and tires for now, only upgrades are Goerend tranny Smarty Beta 4.4 and drop in AFE proguard 7.

60 mph... My grandma drives faster....LOL I wish I could have seen that good of miledge but I can't go that slow....

my milage was not good with the beta 4.4

in fact i havent found a setting that would increase my mpgs at all

i might take it off and go with a quadzilla product.

So far I have seen no milage to speak of on any level, but I did go to the beach this weekend with the smarty on level 9 (frist time I have ran 9) tst on 1/0 and most of the ride was in a 65mph zone (vs a 70) wich helped out I am sure but I ran 72-73 most of the way at 2200 rpms and I THINK I am gettin better milage. I will check later this week when I fill up and report back.

I didn't see any mileage improvements with 4.4 either....i think the fact that it was labeled "Towing and Mileage" is a misnomer given the fact that it's putting out 170hp (or similiar) on all levels.....i wouldnt expect mileage gains until the production 4.4 comes out with corrected power output per smarty level.....but i'll never know as i'd no mileage in the world will be worth driving 60mph on cruise :-)....think i got about 16mpg with cruise control on 87mph , max speed it holds) between phoenix and san diego

i got 17 w/ cruise on 70...99% highway..only time i stopped was to get fuel and go back right onto the highway. i didnt love that. same drive w/o smarty...18. can anyone explain that?

You guys must remember that beta 4.4 is 150 in the lowest setting

30-60-90 is for Edge customers....I like Smarty Sw1 making 150 if the steps go up accordingly.....Realistically though 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 is what I want. 30hp is completely unnoticeable. Having the normal series of softwares for stock trannies, aftermarket injectors, and fully modded would be awesome. I've towed on Beta 4.4 sw7 with water flowing and the boost never got over 35psi and there was no smoke with Flux 1.5's....But it sure could Haul butt. KS

I now have 7 tanks of fuel through it and the worst is 19 city hwy and the best is 20.5 for a long trip @ 65 and half city hwy.I have picked up close to two mpg driving to work! My overhead was off 4.5 ish off with quad, now off less than .6 with smarty beta 4.4. I have a 03 ho with 6 spd and 315's so I am happy. I drive it so I almost never see smoke.
