Smarty 4000 RPMs VIDEO INSIDE!!!
Here are the results from all the Hard work from Marco @ Mads Electronics. Let the fine tuning begin.

P.S. I personally took this video and dyno tested. Let me say throttle response is amazing!

Bob4x4 posted a video at So Cal Rattlin' Rams site a little more than a week ago. Check it out.....
Smarty and 4000 rpm
Based on the odometer reading it's the same truck. The video I linked to is from Bob Wagner.

That is too cool.
Any testing done on a 48RE yet? I have to wonder if the shift points will adjust automatically or if something needs to be tweaked.
I really need to get a Helix 2 cam and springs now.

The big question is will it hold together? On larger diesels a few hundred revs over and it goes boom. Valves hitting pistons and rods stretching to the point that there isnt enough piston clearance etc...

So that is good and all, but if you don't prep the motor it's not gonna hold together right? Another words, you can't take your smarty with this tune on an otherwise stock motor and go around peggin 4K you'll blow the motor.
Right???
Right???

In theory. But its never been tested long term. This particular truck has a stock valvetrain. Everything is all up in the air. If your not careful It could be an expensive mistake thats for sure.

This truck is getting upgraded twins soon. The drive pressure as of now is through the roof. 95psi of drive pressure @ 60lbs of boost. Thats with the wastegate opening @ 25psi!!!! The graph is even more impressive the peak torque and horsepower shift over 1k RPM.

I figure this version of smarty will be like Beta 4.X. If you want to run it, you really should have the supporting mods (springs at least and probably cam too).
The dyno is cool, but I want to see what it does on the 1/4 mile. I think the increased rev limit will help us lower HP guys more than the speed limiter. It'll be a few more mods before I will need to worry about the speed limiter (if ever).

I was skeptical just like a lot of people. But actually getting to drive the truck @ 4000 rpm was great. The 3-4 shift lag is no longer present because of the extra 800 or so rpm. Cant wait for the tuning to start, kinks to get worked out and be released to the public.

The biggest problem I see with the smarty is that not everyone has acces to the software. I would love to give it a fair shake on my truck and even do some real world dyno comparison with the ppe and the bullydog, but ....
