Slipping Turbo????
I am kinda baffled at this one. It feels almost like a slipping clutch, but its not.
The EZ is out of the truck. I don't think it did it with the EZ in the truck. (trying to stay away from running the pressure box)
TST on anything over 3/5 (which is where I usually leave it), and you are in a low boost situation (like shifting, or crusing slow), and you step on it, the turbo jumps to 40-50 psi, and then drops down to settle in at about 42psi,(which I know is normal), but it seems that when the boost flys up there (its like RIGHT NOW when it goes up there), the engine doesn't seem to take off and fuel right away, its like it has a dead spot........then its off to the races, and pulls like a raped ape looking at a banana.
I don't think its not the clutch, because the tach doesn't move when it does it, but the boost gauge just pegs, drops down, the engine doesn't respond to the boost right away, and then its off we go.
Fuel pressure is 19-21psi.
Level 5/5 is worse than 3/5. I set it at 3/7, and it the same as 3/5 with the slow fueling (not sure what else to call it).
Is this normal with the TST???
I ran my friends Juice/Attitude on 5/5, it doesn't do it. But then again the Juice isn't as narly either.

Isn't this just normal turbo lag? **Turbo**chargers have a lag since they're driven by the exhaust. **Super**chargers, I believe, suffer less from it because they're driven directly by the belts (engine). The super gives you snappier performance, but the turbo is VASTLY more efficient since you're recovering energy otherwise lost down the tailpipe. It's a tradeoff.
Anyway, I think what you're seeing is normal.

Its not turbo lag, because the Boost is right now. The boost doesn't come on slow....its almost like a light switch.....5psi-50psi-45psi-5 psi...just about that fast.
Its acts almost like the air is there....and the PCM is on vacation in the Bahamas. wakes up and then the PCM goes.."oh look..there is 45psi of boost, maybe I should add some fuel"....then it flies.

What kind of gauge do you have? Electrical rather than mechanical? Sounds like it might be acting up. No turbo goes from 0-45 right now at the hit of the throttle.

Mechanical.
oh the gauge is working, because you can hear the turbo spool up THAT fast too. Almost make me think that the turbo is too small still, but its not.

Could it be the wasteage? You stomp on it, the boost flies up faster than the wastegate can open, so it bleeds the boost off, closes the wastegate, and then the truck finally takes off cause the waste gate is closed.
