I drove my truck today pulling about 8k with all my boxes removed and my II super phat 66 turbo spools just fine.. It takes just a bit longer to spoll up than the stock turbo but i dont ever plane on running it with stock settings our no boxes.. I just sent my TST to get the twins flash and my ramifier was bad when I got it on friday So I should have my boxes back In a few days..

And yes the 66 phat shaft bolts right up.. As long as you put the short studs that they provide in the manifold closest to the block..

I love my Sledpuller 66 you can tell it don't have to work that much when you street drive but when you need to burn the tires off the rims and she's spooled up (watch out)
No surge problems here and it does take more to spool it. if you are running on stock engine it will lag bad I had it with banks chip and that didn't get it.
Now I run tst w/ edge and that gets it to spool up now.
I find the truck very fun to drive and a load of Black smoke for the guy behind me!
If it was not this turbo it was going to be twins!

The biggest reason a turbo would surge on the 2nd gen 24v, and not on the 3rd gen Common rail motor would be because the 3rd gen Common Rail motor flows alot more air from a better designed head, than the 2nd gen 24v.
