skis question, swapping 06 cummins into ford
i am going to put a 06 cummins into my 97 ford i have a complete running doner truck with 50,000 miles on it. is there any way that i can integrate the skis into my ford so i dont have to mess with sending the computer off and that kind of stuff? i am kind of scared to start pulling wires, because i dont know where they all go

This is a good website regarding swapping the Cummins (including the CR motors) into the Ford (and others). They have a specific section for the OBS Fords.

Also check out www.destroked.com. They have most of the stuff you will need to do it.

Plan on the truck being out of use for 1-2 months, and many ,many, many man hours of thought, schematic reading, scratching head ,and redoing almost everything later in the conversion.Making the C/R run on the floor is easy I used 2x12 and made a rectangler box to set it on ,the oilpan lip and a small spacer worked great it was there 11/2 year and I would start every couple weeks, fuel was bottle feed from a washer fluid jug and a nipple /rubber washers and thank nuts. A couple of pieces of strapping material attached to the motor and box and you can pick up both together to move .
