I'm looking at the same thing. Since my truck mainly a street truck, I'm kinda leaning towards small twins in order for good towing ability, but the big thing I'm worried about is loosing the tranny cooler, and the loss of under hood real estate. Not sure on a 3rd gen just how much room, but also will twins interfere with normal maintance items?

I just did a whole write-up on installing a set of twins (specifically PDR's setup): https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=62899

On the 3rd Gens, the tranny cooler is on the driver's side - no issue there. The passenger side battery remains, with a slightly modified battery tray (included). Oil filter changes will have to be done from the bottom (that's how I always do them, anyhow) - on a stock truck, you could remove the airbox and inlet tube, and get to the filter from up top. Not with the twins...

The filter is still relatively easy to remove and clean - as long as you give a little forethought into positioning the clamp so you can access it easily.
