thanx for all the helpful info. but I still can't decide. I've read alot saying that the A5k is very streetable with little stix(90hp), but then others say it will be too hard to spool and drive on the street. right now im torn between d-tech turbo and a5k. I can get them both in my price range.

see, the thing is I have the smarty which I think would make a big difference in spool up.

90 hp stix + smarty+ A5K= lag in spool up?

I'm really leaning to A5k in a twins setup with my stocker.

Well there is a pretty big problem with your poll. It says $800-$900, but then lists one of the choices as a twins set up. You cant use $900 and "twins" in the same sentence. My opinion is either a twins set up or a 64/65/13ss as a single. Either way you are over $1000 unless you find a used 64 for a good deal.

yes its kinda weird to see $900 and twins in the same sentence. But its a legitimate option, i can get a used A5k and I can make the piping and mounts.
I also like the silver bullet but I havent been able to find a used one close enough to my price range.

everyone keeps voting for the 'something else' option, but what is something else I can get in that price range?

74mm turbine wheel thats all i know and man u need to save up to get your turbo you dont find steals every day and you do get what you pay for. taxes are comming and so are my twins. i might be dumping my bullet off not to sure yet got to get with my boy zoo and talk things over before i go spend a few grand in the wrong turbos lol.

lol spending a few grand on the wrong turbos is exactly what i don't wanna do..this is gonna be a temporary set up for me, I just wanna get a better forced induction system than the stock one so that i can get a feel for what turbo sizes mean and while i save up to spend a couple grand on the right turbos.

74mm turbine seems pretty big to me, isnt that the same size for the A5k??

Dude id say u better stick with a 64-66 sized turbo, u will still be able to run 90hp sticks with either one and still have a streetable truck without a bunch of lag! Just my $.02

64/65/13 gets my vote with your truck being an auto and all.

bswope, which turbos come in that size?
If the turbo I buy turns out to be too laggy as a single, I will run it as a twin with my stocker...good logic?

HTT, Industrial Injection and BD all make a charger in a 64mm, you could also call Engineered Diesel where im getting mine from and have it custom built! They have some of the best prices i found ANY WHERE!!!! Call and talk with Chris, here is a link!! http://www.Engineereddiesel.com

But if your lookin into twins then id say get a S400 and use your stocker on top!

Whoa, I had to read, Re-read, and then read again to figure out where the sentences end and begin. I finally got it though! Man, punctuation is your friend!
