single or triple?

I got an email back from Goerend explaining his different torque converters. I would like to just go with his billet single (good price). I figure if I dynoed my truck it would be around 400hp with the junior turned up. Do you guys think I need to go with a triple disc?

Hello,

The single would be fine with some room to grow.

I went with the triple in mine and have been very pleased. Just out of curiosity what is the difference?

I got a single disk, but just a question why goerend?, just food for thought but if your in kelowna,bc why would you want to get something from Iowa and pay shipping plus our dollar is low so you would be soaked on the exchange rate, you got good tranny people in bc like DTT,BD and others.

I here ya, but Dave has had nothing but top notch reviews. I have heard mixed reviews of BD's stuff and DTT was more for their supersingle than Goerends triple with lifetime warranty. DG's billet single is almost half what DTT's is. I wish I could make it to BD dyno day tomorrow, some good deals, would definately buy one of theirs if I was going.

I might work my way up to 500hp one day. But for now staying the same. I would love to go with a full billet NADP trans that I can get locally but don't have the funds.

Are you having trans problems? If your stocker is still holding, just keep driving it and save the money difference you need for the NADP. Better to get what you want, all at once, and be done with it.

Also...FWIW....I love my Built Billet DTT with a DTT Triple!!

a billet input is good insurance if you want big power someday or u want to drag race/sled pull the truck. they say the output is the one that wont take out much if the input or intermediate breaks it will trash other things. ive got a built trans with billet shafts and its been pretty awesome honestly. it was the best mod Ive done to the truck it would be nothing without it because no power would get to the ground otherwise

I would say do it right and nice the first time, better having an overrated tranny with out using its full potential than having a tranny built to limited specs. Think that wear and tear are gonna be big factors.
