is this the same stuff as the white bottle everyone talks about? i just bought some from a local diesel truck store and they said it should be fine. just want to make sure. im putting 1/2 a bottle in for a full tank of gas. its just the little bottles too. it says for 32 oz that it will treat 50 gallons at a cetane raised rte of 6 or something like that. any help is much appreciated!!!

I think I read where the Octane Boost doesn't have the same anti gel properties as the white bottle?
EDIT: Your truck runs on Diesel, not "gas" now.

White bottle has anti-gel and cetane boost, grey is just cetane boost. Or maybe it's the other way around...anyway, you get the idea. I use about a 40 gallon tratment for every 30 gallons of fuel. Power Service is cheap. A new injection pump is not.

Silver for summer, white for winter. They do the same thing basically, except white has anti-gel in it, and the silver has a higher cetane boost for your fuel. I use the 16 oz. bottles, 1 to a tank because I run it down under a 1/4 tank.

It is not going to hurt anything if you use a whole bottle, just try to be consistent. I have been using PS Kleen(3 parts) and MMO(1 part) mix in every tank(16oz of mix) for 25,000 miles now. Don't know how much good it does, but runs smoother and quieter and sure can't hurt.

Measuring

I use the side of the bottle. They say for winter stuff (white bottle) that 8oz treats 25 gallons. I normally fill up at 20 gallons in the winter so I just put in 8oz. They say more dosn't hurt but I wouldn't use more than say half. Powerservice has a web site that is very informitive. Like I said I use 8oz in the winter no matter what, and if you buy the big 96 oz bottle, one of those lasts me 12 fill ups (about 3 months) Def. cheeper to buy this way than the small bottles. It gets cold up here so I like to know I def. have good anti gel in the tank. Hopefully I'm not up here much longer, but you know. I'm actually doing a test to see what the mixed fuel freezes at, and what the mixed fuel with PS in there freezes at. Can take it down to negative 80, but I havn't done that yet = ) I'll know for sure.

I keep a 16oz bottle in the truck(fits door pocket) that I use to measure out doses from the big jug that stays in the garage. I have been using PS(white/winter,silver/summer) for over 40,000 miles in every tank. It is usually worth 1mpg and I never have to worry about it gelling up in the winter.

Don't let that bad boy fall over and leak on you. It'll take forever to get the stink out of your truck!!!!

I've was using 16oz of the silver bottle per tank, but switched over to 12oz PS / 4oz MMO. I've been meaning to get a bunch of 16oz bottles and premeasure but I keep slacking

I have a couple of shop rags stuffed around it to hold it in place. It works for me.

I'll pour a full bottle of the Diesel Kleen (silver) in my tank about every 4-5 tanks. I don't know if it helps anything but I do it anyway.
