I should deffinatly look for leaks. I cant wait till I either make another 20-30 more lbs of boost or switch to a bigger turbo and report back. I have a feeling either one is going to skyrocket the beast into an extremly high HP range. I think you will be hard pressed to find 700+hp trucks that only make 50lbs of boost. I didnt buy studs for 50lbs the people at II told me with a setup like mine reaching 70 would not be a problem.

I know that II rates that silver bullet at 800+hp with nitrous so you oughta be able to at least do 700hp on it on diesel. I'd say start looking for leaks and what not. Also, what kinda egt's do you hit?

Pretty signifigant difference, that SB is fully capable of 70-75lbs without compromise.

I agree, I don't know the specifics on the SB but it should handle at least 60psi and still be on its map, 80 might be stretching it. You definately need more air but I don't see the a5k being that much larger of a charger. If you are putting out the smoke after it is spooled up, I am going to keep my money on boost leak or improperly adjusted WG. Who installed the turbo? Did they set the WG or just bolt it on? 50 psi is a pretty standard setting from the supplier with these turbos so maybe they just bolted it on and didn't adjust the WG.

FYI, compressor=inducer and turbine=exducer.

the turbo should hit 60-70 no problem with all the fuel I have thrown at it. My mechanic adjusted the screw all the way. My truck never gets above 1250 ever. On cl and predator stage 3.

You can only hit 1250* but yet your smoke is not clearing out??? That only leads me to one conclusion, you have entirely too much fuel. When I had my boost leak on my HX40 I could get the gauge going up and then get in it harder and the fuel would actually stop the needle and drop it back about 100*. Check for boost leaks.

You gotta be kidding right?

TheBigNasty,
Here is what you run on your truck the "HX40" sitting next to an Aurora 5000. I took this picture just for you!

Actually Inducer and Exducer apply to both compressor and turbine.

Here is some reading on this issue:
What is the Inducer?
Looking at a compressor wheel, the inducer is the "minor" diameter. For a turbine wheel, the inducer is the "major" diameter. The inducer, in either case, is where flow enters the wheel.

What is the Exducer?
Looking at a compressor wheel, the exducer is the "major" diameter. For a turbine wheel, the exducer is the "minor" diameter. The exducer, in either case, is where flow exits the wheel.

Blackbeast you have other problems. 52psi is perfect on a silver bullet. I turned 720+ uncorrected at only 41 psi of boost out of my silver bullet. I was blowing my wastegate right off its seat, it was set for 50 psi. The a5000 moves about 10 lbs more air than a silver bullet. You have enough air for at least 100 hp more than you are making. You need to take some time and tune your truck. Some programmers dont work well together. Try dynoing with just the injectors and crazy larry and let us know. Tim

Another advantage of the Aurora 5000 is that it is an overall larger turbo built on a bigger platform....
Basically it will last longer than a silver bullet or any S300 variant when bolted to our trucks.

FYI.

Like Tim says....take some time to tune. Most of dont (ie like myself).

Maybe it was your injector choice?

Low rail pressure? I see you have dual fuelers...but what is your rail gauge telling you?

Dont have a rail Guage. But im sure with two injection pumps its doing great. My numbers are junk and dont make any sense for my mods.
