Silver Bullet 66mm and Nitrous Questions.
ok guys i need some help tunning my truck im heading to a dyno soon but have to pay 4 only 3 runs so i need to kinda know where to start so i dont waste all 3 runs and not have it kinda dialed in. so i hooked up a nitrous system on my truck really really budget system but think it will probably be around a 100 hp single shot. and i have a 66mm silver bullet from ii. anyways i was wondering whats the max boost pressure you guys are running the silver bullet to. with no nitrous i bring it to 60 max but can i bring it higher with nitrous or do i want it to max out at 60? and what ever is the max 4 the turbo where should i set the wastegate 2 so the nitrous wont bring it over what ever you guys think is the limit? thanks 4 the help guys.

set the turbo to 50 psi max, thats all you need, boost is not HP. One shot is more dangerous than 5 shots of NOS when the stage is too big. Need two or three stages or need a progressive controller. If you are only running one stage then put in a 70 pill and use it at 22 psi boost, 2400 rpm.

ya thats what i was thinking. ill probably do a 2 stg then what would be a good boost to shoot the first shot and with how much gain of hp? and when should the second shot come on at and how much more added hp to that? not looking 4 a huge gain want to keep it safe but have a little extra power on the dyno.

2 stage would be 40 pill at 12 psi and 75-80 pill at 22 psi maybe as low as 20 psi. Remember, that on a dyno, you need to get all the air you can in the motor before 3200 rpm, after that its about over. so the more stages, the smaller shots you can go. I use the first stage to spool and the rest for power. If you go with a 30-35 pill you can use it at 5 psi or 1650 rpm.

well if i hook up a 3 stg set up what would you suggest with my set up on my truck? i dont want anything to crazzy dont want to brake anything its an everyday driver and im broke so if it brakes im screwed for a long time. so i want it to make the most power possible but still keep it safe. the only thing im worried about i guess is my tranny wasnt completly build i skimped on the outputshaft but everything else is done. so if you had a 3 stg set up going in with my mods how would you set that up?

ok thanks 4 all you help reb. do you have any idea on around what size jet a 35,63,78hp shot would be? and how exactly dos this work? so i would shoot a 35hp shot 1stg (after finding what jet it is) then 2nd stg would i shoot at 28hp shot so when they combined it would be a 63 hp or is it jsut another 63 hp and with the 2 stg's going it would be 93 hp? or dos the 1st stg run out and the second stg takes over? thanks 4 the help.

those are the sizes. .035 .062 and .078 HP all depends on how much left over fuel you have and how well the turbo spools. On how much boost you will hit all depends on your setup. I'd stop it at 50PSI

hey reb another question that people are brining up is a aftermarket waste gate, do i need one? i really dont have any more money so cant get one will my stock one work with using a little nos? and what boost do you think i should set it to? so dos this sound good? 1 stg .035jet at 8psi 2 stg .062 jet at 18 psi and 3 stg .072 jet at 24 psi? this sound good? is that alot of nitrous beacuse i dont want a ton just a little? maybe ill just do 2 and 3 stg with both a .62 jet? thanks reb.
