I built my replacement out of 4 inch
sewer pipe fittings. It improved the top-end hp quite a bit

Thanks for the feedback nick...is the ring hard to take out and what is the easiest way to get it out?

2 small flat head screw drivers... i remember using one little pocket one and a stubby #4?? got under the little cut edge with the pocket one and got it lifted out of the groove, then the stubby under the snapring... or it was the other way around... if it was on the bench in front of me, that ring could be out in like 10sec... working from above the fender basically blind it is a SOB to get out... mine will never go back in unless i get a different type of snapring that has holes in it for proper plyers
