Shocks? Ideas? Best? Worst?

Looking at upgrading my front and rear shocks. Any suggestions on brands or types? I have a front leveling kit and airbags in rear. Any ideas would be great. I haul hay and cattle on a regular basis. Right now I have Rancho RS5000 on there Front par number is RS5317 for 4" lift rear is RS5269 Stock height. These have been on there since I bought truck. Not sure why 4" in front and stock in rear. should I go with a different setup? 4" all he way around?

Do a search here for Bilstien. I put the yellows on my stock height truck and love them. They have several choices and many people run them here.

The Bilstein 5100's provide the best bang for the buck by far.

Better shocks are Fox and custom valved Kings... but do you need $1000 shocks?

I'm looking at the Rancho 7000's for shocks and stabilizers. Any thoughts? I have 5000's on there now. I do a lot of field work and towing.

With all respect, it doesn't sound like you wanted advice.

It sounds like you made your choice and want us to approve of it.

Nope. Just saying that people are saying bilstiens are the best bang for the buck. I'm wondering if Rancho and Bilstiens were the same price would the choice still be the same. That's all I'm asking. Total with 4 7000mt and 2 stabilizers would be $370-$380. I want the Best Bang for the Buck!!!

REALLY the Bilstein 5100s are head and shoulder over the Rancho 7000 or even Rancho 9000 shocks.

Another vote for the Bilsteins here. If the Bilsteins cost more than the Rancho I would still buy them over the Rancho.

Of courser it is your truck, so you need to be pleased with whatever you buy. But in the aftermarket parts game, I have seen time and time agian, it you only get what you pay for...cheaper IS cheaper, one way or the other.

Bilsteins it is then. Any one help with part numbers I need? I have a 2" leveling lift in from stock in rear. Also need stabilizers for front steering. Thanks for the help. I will order today. What is a good place to order from? SDTruck or is there another recommendation?

You will not regret that choice.

I REALLY like to order parts from Genosgarage.com

They have more then fair prices on parts, quick turnaround and STELLAR customer service. They are also Ram truck fans, help innovate and somtimes develop simple, helpful products for our trucks. They can help you select the correct Bilsteins for your application.
