I got mine from http://www.shiftknobs.us/ It is the Polished Grab A Gear. The threading is 10mm x 1.5 - actually the same thread as the one for Honda on his ordering list. No shift pattern on it SO whoever tries to drive my truck will have to know where to find reverse.

Someday soon, I hope to find some fittings to fit on the bottom and some airhose to make it look like it is hooked up to something. Just looks, that's all.
I will tell you, I sure did enjoy driving the big rigs with that tranny in it. The ones I drive now have 10 speeds in them. At least they aren't auto's, yet.

The answer is yes you can damage your stock **** but your gonna be replacing it right. I took mine off when I put the two bends in it to make it closer to the driver and I used a very small screwdriver and you can still tell.
