Seen something yesterday and got me curious
I saw a powerstroke yesterday and noticed more turbo whistle than normal. He had a aeroturbine exhaust tip. You herd alot of whistle with this. I dont believe he had a exhaust but just the tip. Does the aero tip have something to make it whistle?

it was probaly an 03. something with the vanes in the vgt turbo make them really loud. i wouldnt think a tip would cause it to whistle unless it has whistlers on the tip. they do make such a thing.

I have seen or heard a couple like that in Phoenix. The sound is coming from up front, like a modified intake. There was a chick driving it.
I have also seen and heard 3rd gen Rams that sound like a big rig. I wonder what it is like having to listen to it all day long if it is you primary means of transportation.

Powerstroke
I have owned a ,99 powerstroke ,that year they have the good style compressor wheel (impeller)
The impeller causes the whistle ,mine was having a 5inch exhaust and it became even more whistling.
Much more than my Cummins,I have to say it was even annoying when driving long distance .
after ,99 Ford replaced the impeller with a new low noise one.
It also moved less air ,as they still provide the old one aftermarked for an improved performance.
