Thanks for the opinions, keep em coming. By the way, I got the idea from member NRiver about going to the Satin Finish wheels with no caps. Many many months ago, before he also went to the blacked out wheels and now chrome Weld Wheels.....his truck looked like this. He painted the ends of his axle tubes and powdercoated his lugs and lug nuts black. If I go with the Satin wheels it would probably look similar to this with the 35'' Mud Terrains.

My truck? or NRivers? He lives in Washington State. I am not on any local DFW sites unless somebody posted a pic of it there.

It might be a different truck. There was a black 3/4 ton posted on a local website with the black/chrome wheel setup and the Ranch hand steps. I hadn't seen the wheel combo before and thought it looked really good.

I dont think it looks right with no centers. It looks as is they flew off or got stolen. Is there a center to go with the satin wheels?

I really like the contrast between the satin wheels and the black look - sets them off of each other nicely.

I think the totally blacked-out look only works if you execute it as D.Wiggs did - with the shades and glosses kept as similiar as possible.

Robert,
The satin wheels looks good, breaks up the 'all black' look.
But, I do like shiny things....

I don't know how well the plastic would hold up being repainted like that. I think I would rather leave the caps off than paint them black. Something to consider though.

Great idea! I think that would look great too. I haven't really looked into that before. Any suggestions on brands? Costs? Venders?

Good idea, I haven't even thought about that. I have some black touch up paint that would work fine.

Yes I could get the center caps for the Satin wheels, but then it would just look stock again. I don't want it to look like every other truck on the road. I want it to Stand Out without Screaming "Look at Me".

I might just buy yours if I go ahead and go with the Satin wheel choice. I love NRiver's truck above too...that is what prompted me to consider making the change.
Yes im sure the lugs will scratch up when being installed/retorqued. I will just hit them with some touch up paint if that is the case.

I appreciate everybody's comments and participation in my poll. Even the guys who checked option 4 .

Keep em coming if you have any more thoughts on it. The only thing I have definately decided on is to go to 35'' tires next time.

I like all 3 choices with the wheels. I was kinda surprized that the choices in the poll didn't come out even more lopsided than they have so far.

Please keep the opinions/thoughts coming if you have any.

We know you want the satin, so you can bracket race running the black wheels with the cheap "slicks"....

Dang Robert....your worse than a woman before her wedding day!!

I love the Black wheels for the under cover cop look.....but the satin looks good too.....Not too sure about the missing caps though......

BUT if you have any Satin caps....im looking for a set for my H2 wheels......and some lugs....if i ever find any tires!

Either way.......looks good really.....

BUT that exhaust....its the best thing on the truck! haha.......

I would say black out the center caps. And some high temp black paint on that exhaust.
