I don't go where it's very cold (fuel gelling) so wanted mine away from the engine. My oil bypass is behind the rt. foglite and the 2 mic. is behind the lt. foglite. I got the fittings and hose from a Parker Store. Pt# 34982-12-6 banjos and Pt# 7212-381bk push-lock hose. Craig

I live in temps that range from +35C to -40C. -40 is the same as -40F. No issues with fuel gelling, this is with filter behind the left fog light. Trying to load pics, but I hate computers.

Im not a fan of putting the fuel filter around the intake horn. To me, just in the way. I added a Raptor 100 fuel pump, it supplies the stock fuel filter housing, then I purchased the universal Glacier diesel fuel filter bracket. Mounted the secondary fuel behind the left fog light, then it supplies the CP3. Then I put amsoil oil filter right beside the secondary filter. Now of the filters are in my way under the hood. The inner fender liner protects them from road debris. When changing them, drop out the bottom with 0 mess. If I had clue how to post pics I would, but computers hate me.

You can fit a second filter in there, but it is a tight fit. I used 3/8 aluminum angle to build a bracket, very simple but it is important to make sure nothing rubs when everything warms up. I've had mine on for 4 years trouble free.

Pretty nifty set-up. I guess my problem would be no access to tools or materials to fabricate my own custom bracket. But these are the first pics in all these years I have ever seen with the filter mounted and the APPS up front. Definitely have to investigate this more now. Thanks.

Thanks for the links.
And it's not like I never searched. Just got tired of not finding what I was looking for and quit a while back. Now my interest has been piqued again, but it looks like access to the power steering dipstick/reservoir may be blocked fairly substantially. I'll check it out on my rig. Thanks again.

Of course these filter setups look fantastic. One thing though - that location is no good if you run a PacBrake. Behind the foglights is not a good place for winter driving as well as snow and crud get under there.

I drive my dually all the time in the winter to go sledding in the interior of BC. Coming from the east side of Alberta, using Hiway 1 or 16 depending on which area going sledding. Never an issue with fuel filter behind the fog light area. It stays dry up there, no rocks, slush, etc. Been mounted there since 2006 without any problems. Behind the other fog light is were the webasto is mounted, its clean as the day it came out the box. The inner fender liners do a great job of keeping road debris off. No worse of a spot than mounting fuel filters off the frame rail under the box getting beat by the left rear wheel.

Glad to finally get it found for you. I know what you mean about getting tired of not finding it. I did my 2mic filter in the winter of '10 so it was around that time that I was researching everything 2mic setup. I stumbled across that custom bracket thread there and it sticks in my mind. Never know when someone will find the solution.
