scratches on torque converter

scratches on torque converter

What would cause scratches on the t/c? A few months ago when on the dyno we were trying to get a torque reading so the tech took the t/c inspection plate off when we looked at the t/c it had scratches all over it.

not sure but i think you just looking at the outside of the t/c housing. maybe mud or brush got in there. how bad are the scratches?

pretty bad i don't think it coould be caused by branches cause i don't off go off road no debri that i could find in there looks like the scratches were made from metal?!?!?
Anybody have a clue??????

You didn't have a tc bolt or flexplate bolt come loose did you?

not that i seen ? im taking it to the guy who built it for me, it is under warranty, it is doing some crazy 1-2-1-2 shifting that worries me

There is a TSB# 21-009-07 for the 1-2-1-2 shift problem there is an updated governor pressure solenoid on the valve body, not sure if your trany builder used the updated one or not.
