Just ordered the Raptor 100 from DTR.
Does it come with everything needed for an easy installation?

yes it comes with everything just make sure when you get it that is for an 03-04 truck other wise it wont come with the fitting to go in the filter base or the fitting to mount to stock pick up tube you will love the pump and the install is super easy

no you can get to it throught the fender on above the left rear tire. and you will prolly break the stock supply line clip that holds is on to the pick up just be careful to not break the fitting off the pickup tube.

I put the raptor 100 on my 03 also. Its great for what I am building. Pureflow will support to 550hp area, which I want to stay under. Do you still have the stock fuel pump on the block? or has it been put in the tank? I didnt want anything but a pump, the raptor kit was great and comes with lots of stuff.

Great, sounds like no cutting or spicing is needed.
Also, what is the default pressure setting for the pump?

If its on the motor still, your good to go. If it was like mine, been updated by warranty and put in the tank, you will need to get a used fuel tank sender housing. The raptor will mount between the t-case & fuel tank. Then remove the supply line from the tank, unhook the other end that goes to the fuel filter housing. I blew out the fuel and plugged them or they will drip diesel for awhile & make a mess. That tip was from willys53. Then you will use the supplied dorman fitting, put the 1/2 supplied hose onto, clip it to the tank fitting, run it to the raptor. The fittings that you install into the blue 1/2 hose are a real tight fit. I ran the lines, marked & made them on the bench with a vise and oil. Ran them under the truck, marked them. Dont need hose clamps on these barb type fittings, just make sure there seated. Put the supplied fitting that goes to the back side of the fuel filter housing, run the line from the raptor to it. Then all is left is run the electrial wiring. Then cycle the key couple times so you have filter filled. My came set @ 16psi from Pureflow. They told me it will to around +/- 15lbs. With the SMARTY turned up, it will drop to to 14lbs. In stock form, only had gauges, idle was 10psi, then driving hard it would go to 3psi. I spent a over a year reading diesel forums about aftermarket lift pumps. The raptor 100 met my needs, mostly no drilling the tank and adding a draw straw.

i set mine to 22psi and at wot with my mods i can pull it to 10psi but im at the limit of the rp100 i made 557hp with it and my smarty was only on level 5 and my ez on level 4

all i have to say for it do it you will be very happy you did and they come with a lifetime warranty so you cant beat that. and the adjustable regulator on the side of the pump is great.

I would like to know why you guys chose the raptor over the air dog? The price difference is not a lot. I am considering one of these and it seems like to me that the air dog is a better choice.

I don't know. Guess I like the stock canister setup with the 5 micron Baldwin filter. Planning to add a 2 micron spin on down stream later on.
