I would call SB & see what they say. If they do not answer, leave a message, you will get a call back. If ya' get the upgrade, ya' get the adjustable rod. That may be all ya' need. Which clutch do you have? If ya get the HD upgrade, be careful installing it. Remove the black, 2 stud flange in the firewall & install the master on your bench to avoid any plastic damage.

A buddy of mine had the same exact problem when he got his clutch from sbc...i guess he got it figured out but he was complaining to me about it
