SBC Con Fe Prices and Install Atl Area

I think I'm going to buy a Con Fe and am looking for a place in or near Atlanta that I can purchase it from and have it installed. I've seen a few places I can order it from but I figure if I purchase it and have it installed at the same place I might save some money. I know about Garmons but thats a good haul from me. I'd prefer someplace on the north side but it all depends on how much it costs

For those of you with experience with this clutch, how is the driveability? I want something that'll hold up to the power but still be driveable since I do routinely have a trailer hooked up. I'm planning on doing more power mods but the stock clutch was holding me back...

Your location states Auburn, AL. If that is still so Garmon's would be the same distance as North Atlanta. If you are North of Atlanta, what part, North West or North East? If you are in the Alpharetta area I believe you can go through Southern Offroad, if not them I'd be going to Garmons.

Depends on how good your dodge service dept is. I had my dodge service dept install mine since they are really close and have installed a lot of SBC's. All of the salesman and main techs drive diesels

Garmon's isn't a haul from Lilburn, it's just around the corner

From Lilburn, if you can, I would go to Garmon's. I have seen his work and it is top notch. Other than that...no idea in the Lilburn area.

Good Luck

Those who have lost four years in a row and who have never won a Iron Bowl in T-town have no room to talk...

This will be with me in Tuscaloosa this year for the Iron Bowl. It's my latest project - http://community.webshots.com/album/550597878aFubbO

And Garmons is about 60 miles or so from me. Thats not that far but I figured in Atlanta there would be someplace closer. I'm getting a local shop to do the install. It's a guy I know and he quoted me $375 including resurfacing the flywheel. Garmons wanted $520 and they wanted to charge me too much for the clutch. I know Garmon's is good, but I know the guy I'm getting to do it and trust him with the truck so I'm not worried.

Now I never said the Tide was better....but who has more national championships? I forget.

Grill looks AWESOME! Would love to have one like that.

Glad you found someone close and at a decent price.

Appreciate the comments about the grill... I started with an axle out of an S10 and a 250 gallon propane tank and thats what I ended up with. Took a good bit of work but it turned out well and I don't have that much in it.

As far as the truck goes, I spoke with Peter at SBC and he said the newest version of the OFE would hold 525 at the wheels and recommended I go with that over the FE because of the increased power levels and the driveability while towing. Randie at Diesel Addiction gave me a great deal on the OFE and was about $100 cheaper than everyone I spoke to. Between Peter and Randie I really feel that I purchased the right part from the right person. Both were great to deal with an I look forward to getting the parts in
