SB Clutches
Ok,
I'm looking at getting a new clutch and of course i'm going with a SB. I'm just not sure which one to go with. My future goals are to have a 500-600hp daily driver, which really doesn't seem to difficult, I think with smarty on sw9 probably a beta software and turbo, I could probably acheive this...and fuel upgrades...
So for the clutch i was thinking about the CON FE..to those of you running this clutch, how do you like it? I'm not wanting a super stiff clutch as I will tow with it as well as daliy driver and occasional race...
thanks guys..

i have been running an ofe between 500 and 540 hp, depending on the dyno. no problems what so ever, i love the clutch, i tow 10k with it. smooth and holds good.
I am upgrading to the 3250 DD very soon! if you are going to want more than 500, go DD.
these CR motors make their torque so much lower in the rpm range, it is easy to overwhelm a single disc.

I do some towing with my FE, but not anything over 12,000 pounds and I like the clutch. I will be upgrading to the DD when I start towing heavier and maybe a pull or two.

humm,
thanks guys, it sounds like maybe the OFE will be fine. I mean I don't see twins in my near future and if dodgezilla is doing fine with it, I think it should be fine for me with only the smarty...
thanks again guys.

tx I have even sled pulled with it. Not recommended. This clutch has put up with just over 20 dyno runs all over 500hp, pulling my 10k# travel trailer, and general abuse. Definately a well made clutch.

My FE is pretty grabby, kind of sucks sometimes in reverse especially on any surface other than pavement or concrete. It holds everything I have given it so far.
