I run a BD but not in the club as Im not going to alienate any other tuner. The BD makes the best power on (my) truck however Smarty still writes tunes and offers MUCH better support and has not put the 5.9 guys on the shelf like many others.

I dont recall making any rude comments and if I did it was not my intention. I was just pokin fun at the fact people are jumping ship not because of Smarty but because of the trend.

 

no harm no foul. just don't want anyone to start a bashing of tuners and a big war between the 2 manufactures.

 

understand I think its good though actually. Bob and I have gone back and forth on this a couple times on another forum. I am not downing Smarty at all I just am not willing to call it the holy grail of cummins performance. If you ask me I think the posted dyno sheets are just going to give Marco something to compare off of and want to smash it. Then I will have no reason to not run a Smarty because I doubt BD is going to do anymore R&D on the 5.9's.

He always does...that's why I pick Smarty, mainly because BullyDog seriously slacked off on the 03-04 scene. I wish BullyDog would step up to the plate and make some new stuff to compare to this.

 

amen!!! the only reason I didnt give up on them some time back was Buddy but now he seems to have been put on a short leash..

 

i have nothing against smarty its come out like that through threads ive made but never have a said i wont run it again just stated some indifferences i dont like. me and a friend were talking how smarty being specifically for cummins helps with r&d and also you have a lot of support besides bob who i seem to never get a hold of on the forums who knows i think my smarty this smarty that thread produced good info and was good for both companies and in the end will be good for us

 

I'm with ya'll, I don't like the way these threads get because I know that at alot of homes there are some ticked off Smarty and BD owners looking at their computer screens. Over a programmer. This really gets serious to some people and I don't know why. I'd like to leave the competing up to the guys delivering the goods in the first place. Get what programmer you want and be happy with it, with the dramatic way it changes your trucks, the smile it puts on your face when you see the coal roll for hundreds of feet. I enjoy my mods, everyone go out their, get what YOU really want, if it turns out to be something you don't want sell it and try something else.
