He and I have been doing a lot more together now I am finished with school. He is on spring break and hangin with pops for a few days. he and his sister came to the mud bogs with me yesterday. She is not much for motorsports but she goes because I like them which is cool. I just make sure I go with her for something she likes.

 

i now have many Smarty questions. i can't seem to get what i would expect the full power out of the Smarty, i need to do some reading i guess. because Rambunctious feels quite a bit slower than her previous edge setup.

i assume its operator error

 

Really?!? I just loaded my Smarty up for the first time ever, SW5 with all the default settings seemed MUCH stronger than the J/A that was on my truck before.

i have loaded SW5 SW7 SW9 SW6 and nothing seems real strong. put torque on 4 , rail on 2 , timing on 2. . . i even read the directions. haha.

on the bright side EGT's have dropped tremendously . about 300 degrees at WOT.

 

Yea, my truck runs MUCH cooler with a lot less boost at cruising speeds. Also use a lot less pedal to accelerate the same and holding speeds. I'm pretty impressed so far!

is it safe to turn up the rail pressure and timing to try and get the power? my injectors are stock and probably pretty tired. and i cant afford to trash anything.

 

you have two things going on stock injectors that are pretty tired and wanting more power. . .the beta's work really well w/03's, 04's, but if you have tired injectors. . .

 

wonder if we need to start a new chapter, of those with the tnt R program, or should folks just list it next to their number ?

 

Mike, we tried that a few months ago and it got everyone confused.

 

well if there's one thing I'm about, its confusion .........

 

ill just run her the way she sits now then, and try and get some new injectors this summer when i make a couple bucks.

ps. i loaded my smarty on an 05 and it ran very very strong. so i do not believe the smarty is the problem, must be my " ol goat "
