See that s the question....with stock programming my cruising RP@65mph is 17K, and when using RP-3 its the same.

The only thing I see with the Smarty is when I depress the throttle from 65mph, my RP goes up to 20K and hangs out there until I back off then it settles back down to 17-17.5K

Then with anything over 1/2 throttle, it jumps to 24.5-25K, where as with stock programming it wont hit 25K until full throttle and at high RPM's.

Is it the occasional jump to 20K that kills them or the sustained 17K that I see while cruising????

I suppose if it was a very violent jump to 20 it could possibly crack a injector for the most part i think 24k is the norm for the 04.5 trucks mine maxes out at 22 but i have stock pump and 80hp injectors

It's something that I won't be running daily but only as a power booster for when it's needed.

With my smarty on rail pressure 2 and the mp-8 at around 50 percent, at 75 mph on the freeway im right around 16 or 17 k, I try to keep it around 15 or 16, if i hammer it to pass i can hit around 20 to 22, higher if i crank the mp-8. I have around 97 k miles on my truck, been running some kind of pressure on the stock injectors for around 75 k. Been good so far, knock on wood.

Oh yea you'll be fine, I'm just over 100k and the trucks running better all the time...
