i got a set of the long arms and have the mounts bolted up and just need to cut off the old control arm mounts. has anyone else cut off the mounts? just so i could look and make sure im doin in right. thanx

 

yeah I have done it but unfortunately im not where i can send you pics of my truck. im here and its at the shop. I will try and remember to take some pics of it here in a bit when I get back there and send them to you. Its a pretty simple deal, just take a plasma cutter (yeah i know we all have one of those) or a saws all and cut them off right next to the frame. Just remember once you do this there is pretty much NO GOING BACK. And yes there have been times I wish that I could go back to either stock height or back to my 3 inch lift, even though a 6 inch long arm on a dually with 40s is pretty sweet looking I just get tired of getting in and out of it sometimes. No just kidding I love me truck, but seriously once you cut the stock brackets off you are pretty much never going to be able to go back to stock.

 

I understand that, so where is it welded? i can see in the back but where else? i cant see where it is in the front.

 

Sure you can. Just takes a little fab work.
