Okay, while this is going on can someone explain how the coils can 'bind'?

If I was in the market for a lift that big I wouldn't want all that stuff haninging down like you'd need to on a GM where the 'dif' is bolted to the frame, what's the point?

I also wouldn't put big wheels, low profiles on it, but I'm repeating myself...

Thanks. It's OK if you don't understand it, as I really have tried not to go into too much detail. Reason? I have been a member here long enough that there would be more negative posts on "Why would you do THAT?" as opposed to anything positive. So, once the "project" is completed it will be easier to defend the "insanity" behind the why. As it stands, even AFTER it is completed, I know I am going to receive the obligatory negative remarks. So, when it is done, I may not even post it. Not sure. I will send you a PM on what I am doing however, and see if it makes any more sense to you. It seems I have quite teh following these days....

Where there is to much uptravel, and no bumpstop to stop the upward travel of the axle,so it keeps traveling up and up and up until the coils have no more room to compress, so they bind.

When it is done, I will send ya a PM, get your email and send pics to you. I have you saved under my "buddies" and I will send pics that way, as I don't think I will start a thread on it.

Edit: I don't think I will have a hard time, or should not take to long to send pics to my "buddies"......I don't have many

Rize makes some very nice kits for the Super Duty, but I am not impressed with their Dodge kit at all! Although I am changing to a Kelderman kit, I would take my current Full throttle kit over that any day.

Short arms just don't cut it, not to mention the "IFS looking" brackets??
