For the record, I am now running the 3.11b aftermarket turbo/stock inj program. It has really boosted the low end takeoff and spoolup is considerably faster. With the MP-8 I'm sure it will spool better than stock.

I've thought of the slower spool, but the top end is just amazing (when the clutch isn't slipping) so it leaves me with a smile on my face. I have no regrets whatsoever, I am really happy about it. And the clutch and mp-8 aren't even on!!!

Get that MP-8 intalled so you can totally smoke the stocker.
Where are you thinking/want to be when you hit the rollers next???
How much boost are you maxing at now? Thinking about studs???????????

Well I'm doing some experimenting with the Smarty only right now. When the clutch gets broke in I'll slap that mp-8 on. As for dyno #s, when I get everything on and tuned in I'll be hoping for 475-500hp. If this doesn't get me there, I will do studs, injectors and springs too maybe. I don't want to spend a fortune, but i may have no choice. I'm pushing 42psi. I might crank it up to 45-46psi and leave it alone. I'm hoping the MP-8 will get me the power I need w/o having to mod my cp3. Gus has my hopes high with his 550+ runs.

running the mp8 and if you get some injectors they do help alot on spool up from what I have seen. even if you get like 50hp nozzles I bet they would help you out. im glad you got the turbo on, its always fun to put new mods on when they make a difference

Glad your liking it Rip!I think you will have no problem hitting 500hp with that set up. I made 479hp with a tri-dog/mp-8 and 62/12. jwb600 is right, some flux1's will make that thing jump. My 62/71/13ss is making 48lbs straight out of the box without the assistance of the mp-8.

Thanks ya'll, that is relieving to know. I may do injectors because of the added pressure handling, but first I will see how it does w/o them. If it feels good I'll stick with it. Would I be fine setting that wastegate to about 45-46 psi or should i go 48psi? I'm just worried I may not be as lucky as some of ya'll on the headgasket. (knock on wood)

I would set it at 45lbs.I'm gonna back mine down a touch to 45.I feel the turbo will be more in its effeciency range.Big boost numbers don't mean more power all the time.

Its pretty amazing the difference a turbo will make.I have a friend looking to upgrade from stock and has no comprehension what a difference it makes.Wish he lived a little closer so I could show him!
