Right Track?
After much reading on this site debating the air box/not the air box...I removed my K&N and reinstalled my stock air box/filter. (Mostly due to I am reading here the K&N is not the greatest at filtering...true/false (I work in the extra dusty mining industry). Sure miss that whisle!!!!(considering switching back??) I have been trying to decide where to best put my money at this point. I only what alittle more power/mileage...as per the recommendation from DTR...a smarty Jr, gauges is what I need. Will my stock 3.5 exhaust with a Aero-Turbine Resonatoed muffler work ok? Didn't want to buy an exhaust system/different air box if for my hp range it was not really needed. I do not plan on exceeding the 400-425 hp range. Also..will 315 tire fit under a stock 2500 4X4 with org. steelies?

Generally K&N across the board lacks "good" filtration. Most of the guys that ride quads go with different filters because K&N is only 2 ply whereas most others are 4-6, that is in the quad industry anyways. With K&N products you’re paying for the name and the staff/engineers they pay to have product out to the market before other manufactures. They don’t suck, there are simply better options as far as filtration goes, and lots of times cost about the same price.
