REVO vs. 4.4
After using Beta 4.4 for a few months, finally got to try the REVO program today like everyone else.
TM -4
Timing -2
Pressure -3
At first, 4.4 seems to me to have more SOTP power especially down low. REVO does not have nearly as much smoke as 4.4 but there is some. REVO feels much smoother and refined.
The biggest difference that I have found is that on sw9 it seems that I can drain the rail with the REVO. I heard a popping sound that I assume was the problem. Was never able to do that with 4.4 on sw9.
Switched to sw7 and problem went away.
I do like the adjustibility of this tune but I wish I could find the right combo to give me the power of 4.4.
I'll be doing some more testing with different combinations tomorrow. Also very curious what others think of this tune on the road as well as the dyno in the coming days.

What 4.4 are you running. The early version? I have the later version, & with my mods, I can not smoke hardly at all through midrange once the turbo spools up, & just a hase @ WFO. I love it! I'm debating wheather to try the revo or not. Keep us posted what settings you find to get back the power.

I think I have the later version. I get heavy smoke down low with 4.4 but once the turbo lights, I get a good haze at WOT.
With REVO I will get a good puff then it will clean up nicely.

I went from 4.4 to the Revo. 4.4 is a great tune. I did get lots of smoke and lots of power. Even at 60 or 70 the truck would just take off if I ponched it and I was able to hole RP alot better with the 4.4. I have the Revo RP maxed out and the truck wont hold like it did with 4.4.
The Revo is smooth and alot less smoke. I just want the power back. What do I need to do?

I've been playing with the revo also today.Definitely doesn't have the bottom end the 4.4 had but turn the mp-8 up and its there.Top end I think the revo is better.Only ran RP on level 2.Didn't try any of the higher ones. The mp-8 more than compensates for the bottem end difference.

Thats good to know. I'm on the fence with the revo. I REALY,REALY like the 4.4 & don't want to spend a bunch of time, & fuel only to find out I want the 4.4 back after all.

You DID save 4.4 to your hard drive, right?
If so, it's not like it's going anywhere...
To each his own... Enjoy!

Played a little more today with REVO on sw7, TM-4, Timing-2, Pressure-3. Getting used to it a little bit. More top end, less on the bottom. Really miss that bottom end from 4.4. No more blacking out intersections.
When I had 4.4, I noticed that rail pressure would drop when tranny shifted. Now with REVO on sw7, it will hold the pressure better with shifts. On sw9, I think that I am draining the rail. Maybe I will have to do the DIY CP3 mod soon.
I'll probably continue to use this tune for a few more days until I have a chance to put in my new sps62 which came today. Then I'll try the 4.4 again and see what it does to clean up my smoke.
BTW, with the 4.4, temps barely got over 1400. Now with the REVO on these settings I can see 1500 on a WOT run.

TCR, I guess you haven't figured anything out yet? I am watching this closely as I am curious to what is going on. I really think the REVO (maybe TNT non r) that I have feels really strong, but I had that shifting thing happen. I am so confused on what software is what now, that I am just driving the truck. Someday it will be clear on what softwares are what. LOL
