Replaceing a damper
I have a 1997 2500 Dodge pick up,with a 5.9L Cumming engine I had to changing the front seal I also replaced the damper. Due to the fact that it did not come off the way the book had said.
With the new damper the came a sensor, had to be relocated from 11 o’clock to 5 o’clock. Now this was mystifying, I know that I could read no way was this going to work. I called customer service, and they were able to send me a picture of where the sensor was to be located. Now the bolts that came with the bracket did not match the diameter of the holes in the engine block. It never stops. Did any one run into this before?

Use this section of the forum, your in the 2003 and up (3rd gen.) and you need to be in the 2nd gen with the 12 valve Cummins. You should have better luck there.
