I removed my Smarty jr yesterday to take it to the dealer on Tues and this morning when I fired the truck up and hit the cruise button the set the high idle (did not think it would work) it idled up. Does the Smarty leave the high idle feature enabled or is something wrong? When I downloaded the stock program all went as it should, need I be worried about bringing it to the dealer?

Did it high idle before installing the Smarty JR?

Mine has been high idling since new.........

It leaves the high idle feature enabled when you return it to stock. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The Bully Dog did the same to mine. I was just trying out the Bully Dog so I got a free high idle feature.

is that high idle on the 04 305/555 in your sig?does yours work with the cruise buttons?ive been trying forever to get it to work,i took it to the dealer and everything,no luck,i also got the wire from cummins and gounded it,still no go,i guess i need the stick on the seat thingy

Smarty stock programs include all the latest Chrysler software updates... therefore, high idle is retained when loading the stock program.

Remember, when you "go back to stock", you're not loading the old stock program that was in your ECM...

Yes, the high idle is on the '04 in my sig. My brother has an '05 6 spd and it doesn't work on his truck. I've been told that the high idle feature on the wheel will not work with a standard tranny.

Thanks guys, that is what I figured. I forgot how boring my truck is to drive stock, good thing it is an easy fix.

High idle will work on a straight drive if you buy the pigtail from cummins and ground out pin 22 on the ecm.(I think its pin 22, do a search for the pigtail # and which pin and connector)
