There is NOTHING available for the AAM 11.5" RP

Torsen is on the Dodge

Eaton G-80 on the DMX

The Eaton unit is made of glass. Stay away from it. Torsen works quite well and I will upgrade my rear end to the Torsen unit in the future.

So is our 03 4x4 Diesel front ends a Dana 60 or 44?

Ok, I am new to this stuff so you may need to spell it out.
I understand nothing for rear.
What do you mean when you say Torsen is on the Dodge?

Ok, I read up a bit on Torsen and I do see that it is better than what is in the rear and can apply 5 times the torque to the wheel that has traction than the wheel that's slipping if you use the brakes. My point of wanting a locker is to get away from having to use the brakes. I want a system like my old gmc full size jimmy that I would get out and lock the axles and go...
If the Eatons are "glass" as you say even though they really haven't been out that long I don't need something for hard core just something that works like it should in snow and slight mud in fields and such with out the 2 wheel spin.

I am in Maryland. I was just wondering what to expect in price. I have yet to find a place around here to do it. I called Randy's yesterday and got a quote for the locker and they said they had one ready to be shipped.

So, can you get the electronic locker for the front end (AAM 9.25) with the 4.10 gears? I know the PowerWagon uses 4.56 gears.

yes, the eaton e-locker is available for all ratios from 3.73 to 4.88. the factory used a thick cut ring gear, so if you change ratios and use a non oem gear the a .250" spacer will be needed durring set up, but it is not required when just installing the e-locker.

the e-locker is not the same as the factory electronic locker.
the e-locker is an open differential untill power is aplyed to it.
the factory unit in the powerwagons is a torsen style limited slip untill power is aplyed.
on both, once power is aplyed to them it locks both axles solidly together like a spool. this will result in binding while turning etc.

once again if you have questions, call Gus at extension 5563 at randys ring and pinion 800-347-1188. tell him i refered you and he'll get ya hooked up.

Even with the factory 4 wheel drive limited slip engaged the front wheels bind when turning. I have to either take it out of 4wheel drive to turn say into a parking space or turn like a tractor trailer. If I have the e-locker are you saying it is even worse?

I guess I was assuming the elocker was the factory unit. I'd think the factory unit would be preferred since it offers limited slip when not engaged.

Sparky, the limited turning radius is normal on all part time 4x4 vehicles that I have driven. When engaged, 4x4 mode limits turning radius somewhat, regardless of open vs. limited slip.
