rear bumper 06 2500
I need one and the options can't be as limited as I have already encountered...03-06 models all same rite? What company sells rear bumpers (step) that are sturdier than stock?so far,I have a deal local(no freight) of $325./Fey brand...any better options?I must need to do more research, and I am having a prob. with cruise control...dropping out, flashing lites,bells/chimes...except for the chime,it's reminiscent of the '68 Charger I once had...dealer says, since it's intermittant ,they won't even check it out! sounds like BS...anyone else having any of these symptoms w cruise control? This '06 2500 w/Cummins has 8436 miles on the clock and has done this 3x,all on longer trips where the cruise has been engaged for 20-30 mins or more at 75 mph+....the last time it occured, the warning lights(check engine, etc) stayed on for 30 mins and the cruise control could not be used at all... 1st post here...don't know if I put this post in the right place or no...

This picture is my "Frontier Diamond Plate" Rear Bumper. It is a good choice if you want to keep the factory tow receiver hitch. I have a Ranch Hand Front Replacement and I like it alot....but the rear RH pipe bumpers drop pulling capacity down to 5000lbs when you add a receiver tube.
Here is a link to Frontier..... http://www.frontier-gear.com/html/RearBumpers.html

Looks good!
How much was your rear bumper, with the lights?
I dont see anything on their site about prices, or distributers, or where to purchase...

great response! no bad experiences on the cruise control issue?? maybe I got the only *&^%$ Dodge built at the St.Louis plant. On that note , I'm assuming the bumpers you folks have recommended are American made, since the companies are all here in the US.? That means something to me. As for pricing...I suppose I'll be paying a good price for a"decent"rr.bumper for $40K.+truck??? $600.-$1400. seems to be the range...that $325./Fey is probably made in Mexico or China anyway...I should research that before posting, but heck somebody'll let me know ... we should be careful where we spend our $$

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...

I do like the looks of that rear bumber. I also like how it does not interfear with the factory hitch. Just need a price now.

Thats my main reason, I want to keep the factory hitch, but need a stout bumper. Dont want to put a heavy duty bumper that cant haul more than 5-10k lbs

There is a number listed on their website... 1-800-634-3086. You would have to call them to find a local distributor. I went to a place called "Big Boy Toys" in Pottsboro (outside of Sherman, TX) on the TX/OK border to get mine.
Im sorry I don't have my receipt handy, but I think I paid around $475-500 for it...installed. I just recently sold my stock bumper for $150 which helped offset some of the cost.
