really weird noise twice today from 3250DDD?
I have been meaning to adjust the rod so the clutch grabs sooner in the clutch travel (not so close to the floor). Today, while cruising in a parking lot, while pushing the pedal down deep to the floor, it made this loud grinding/squealing noise. I felt it in the pedal big-time. Then it did it again while parking at work.
What the heck?
Any ideas?
I did take the 30 seconds to lengthen the rod a few minutes ago.
Thanx.

Thanx. Does the way I explained it make sense? I thought about that but it seems backwards. I had the rod too short, and it was not shifting easy, so I really had to push the pedal down far. It seems that if it was that way, I could not be getting the pedal down too far.
Before I did not have the lil' plastic switch for the "no-start-w/o-clutch-depressed" thingy.
Thanx for the help PourinDiesel!

With my 3250 the clutch engages at the top of the pedal travel. When I push the pedal in the clutch sounds like brakes that are metal to metal. Is that what it sounds like?

OH OH! I have adjusted the clutch pedal rod out quite a bit and the noise is stll there. If I go in farther with the rod then the nuetral saftey switch will not engage. should I adjust the pedal out farther? Please Help you have me worried now.

Did y'all remove the washer from behind the fork pivot ball? The pivot ball threads into the transmission and a wahser/ spacer is placed between it and the transmission.
