Raptor fuel pump on 04.5 CTD

Is anyone running a raptor pump on a 03-04.5 CTD ? Thinking of changing my factory pump which is on the filter housing right now with a raptor pump and was wondering if everything needed to do this comes with the pump and also do you keep the stock filter housing? Is this a easy install and is the raptor a good pump for 04.5 truck? The draw straws everyone talks about is for the in tank pumps only is that correct? Thanks any help greatly appreciated

My truck used to have the fuel pump mounted to the fuel filer housing, it failed, dodge put it in the tank under warranty. Then I started moding the truck, but I put gauges in 1st. Fuel pressure to the CP3 inlet was at 3psi driving it hard. Enough of that junk, got the Raptor 100. Since I am staying under 550hp, with the raptor is rated for. Its good you still have the pump on the motor, can use the stock fuel cannister. Since mine was updated, had to by 1, since the fuel pump was in there. The raptor kit comes with a dorman fitting, hooks right to the supply line fitting on the tank. Then the 1/2 line goes to the fuel filter housing. Then the stock filter housing supplies a 2 micron fuel filter, then of to the CP3. Have a constant 16psi at idle, with the smarty turned up, 12psi. Clutch doesnt like it thou(smarty).

Yes you can tell the fuel supply is adequate with the raptor. I have had mine for 5 months and it is very quiet you can only hear it at start up and not really at that. It is the air dog pump without the extra filters and crap you don't need. Just change you fuel filter often enough and keep trucking. later

The Air dog's take a little longer to put on but worth the money the filters will save on your injectors later on down the line the better filtration then you get with the stock filter. Also you can just get the 100 model and don't have to drop the tank unless you have the intank pump installed.

I didnt notice any power, but peace of mind was worth it to me. The people that build air dog/fass likely know more or forget about then diesel than I will ever know. I just wanted a pump, nothing more. Got the 2micron filter and base from work for cheap. I can get the fuel filter that is on the motor at any dodge dealer, the 2micron at any cummins/cat/truck/dealer. Since I like to travel, went with simple.

Also the lifetime warranty was good, if it fails, phone them up, send you new 1 out, get the truck going, then send in the failed pump. Great service is what sells me, not the hype stuff.
