Ran my basically stock 04.5 last night

It went 16.47 @ 80.0 mph. I thought that was pretty good. The truck is stock except for a bullydog muffler replacing the stock one. The cat is still there. Mine is a quadcab 4X4 shortbed, with the auto and 3.73's. I ran it in 4wd hi the whole pass, as our track sucks and I was afraid to try taking it out of 4wd while moving and under full throttle. I'm pretty sure that if I could have run it in 2wd that it would have done slightly better due to not having the extra drag of being in 4 hi.

How does this time compare to other stock trucks?

He said he was afraid to go on 2wd because track sucks.

I am going to test mine after I get the bully dog outlook monitor and downloader. I hope that will get me into 15's easy. I'd have to keep dreaming for 14's

my truck is 2004.5 Laramie 4x4 with auto and has straigh flow resonator and muffler in place of stock cat and muffler. Also has homemade air intake like AFE and torque tube. I should try run it before the downloader. I think I could do it in the pit area between races. It'll be good report.

My 04.5 600 QC SWB 4x4 completely stock except for 315s tires ran 16.7s 1/4 mile times.

With afe air intake, torque tube and Dr Performance Stage II fuel/boost box(85hp/160fpt) and stock exhaust ran 15.6s 1/4 miles times.

Never had a hook up problem with the 315s, so always 2wd.

14s will take TC and Trans VB, stock size slicks, turbo charger upgrade, TST PMCR, Injectors and more. Of course this might be the very low 14s and maybe one more goodie from 13.

We have a REALLY crappy track here. The left lane always sucks, (I've heard that they don't prep the left lane on Fri night test and tune), which is what I ran on the 3 times I ran. The first time, I ran it up against the converter to full boost, and when I popped my foot off the brake, it instantly blew the tires away. This was in 2wd. What surprised me is that it just wouldn't stop spinning. I actually saw the 330 ft lights as I passed them, because I was still spinning. I had time to look in the rearview mirror and see twin plumes of tire smoke coming from the truck. It stopped spinning when I let off because it was starting to fishtail a little more wildly. I just putted along the remainder of the track.

My next pass, it was in 4 hi. Same launch-full boost against the converter, except no spin. It went a 16.56 that time, with a 2.33 short time.

My final pass, same lane and again, left in 4 hi. It went 16.47 this time, at the same speed- 80 mph. The short time was 2.31 this time.
