Rami Air III Install
OK, so I have just installed my new Ram Air III. I haven't had a chance to get around town to see a difference, yet.
Got the new unit at my office and decided I had to get it in NOW. I assembled the Ram Air III in my office and as soon as lunch rolled aroung, I grabbed a screwdriver and a small pair of pliers, only tools in my office, and headed out for a local park to do some quick work.
Pulled the old box out in a minute, and had the Ram hooked up in another. Quick? Yes! Simple? YES!
Now for my questions. Is it just supposed to lay there? Should there be a better seal for the section that goes into the wheel well? How do I know if I got the front intake in the best possible spot? Does any of this matter?
I haven't seen anyone else ask these questions, so maybe I am just out of touch.

Yes, the RA3 rests in its spot.
The fender inlet should slip into the fender hole.
The front inlet faces forward to the space between the radiator and headlight.
More RA3's are shipping this week!
Thank you!
Scotty

Would there be any advantage to me trying to add something to the front inlet to extend it past the radiator? It just doesn't look like it could be getting much forced air the way it sits.

We actually had the inlet further back with a smaller filter at the start. This was a good balance.
However, like everything...IT MUST BE BOMBed

Our bugs still have their snow suits on...not flying high enough to clog yet.

Thanks for getting it for me, Merrick! I am liking it, and my mileage is looking good. Haven't run a full tank yet to get a real number, but the response of the truck is better, and I can hear more of the turbo...
Now I just need to get the exhaust taken care of....
